The HOTGLUE work was fraught with obstacles. I fell foul of the unexpected rule of not being able to have a capital letter in your username twice before I figured out what was wrong, losing two early versions of this site and a few hours work. I found the overall interface clumsy and difficult to use, and the functionality slightly limited. Despite these initial misgivings and false starts, the process has been steady, particularly after cementing the theme throughout the webpage, linking the pages with a common colour scheme, navigation bar and contact bar, it was so much easier to press on once those base elements were established. and all I had to do was copy over the notes I made on the reading materials we were delivered.
We were given the assignment of creating our own individual portfolios using the services of HOTGLUE*, within which we were to display all our work, documentation, and code in a technically adept and functional way.
Homepage:
The most difficult part of this page was establishing the theme which would tie the whole site together, ultimately landing on the left-hanging format and the complimentary colour scheme.

I constructed the banner relying on my knowledge of minimalistic design gained through my graphic design module, layering three text boxes over each other, altering their colour tones and font families of the information they display created a pleasant 8-bit ribbon effect which serves the purposes of tying together the design of the webpage and lending it some more unique character, whilst informing the user f the site which page they are currently on.
